Error Message: An installation package for the product Microsoft SQL Server Native Client cannot be found. Try the installation again using a valid copy of the installation package 'sqlnci.msi'.
Symptoms: When installing Data Workbench, in the SQL Server 2005 Setup, you get the error message "An installation package for the product Microsoft SQL Server Native Client cannot be found. Try the installation again using a valid copy of the installation package 'sqlnci.msi'." A screenshot of the message is shown below.
Cause: This is a Microsoft issue. There was either an installation of SQL Server 2005 Express installed previously on the machine and was not removed properly or the SQL Server 2005 Express Installation had previously failed.
Resolution: Go to Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel and uninstall Microsoft SQL Server Native Client. Then run the Data Workbench Setup again.
