Quadrate Makes Mass Data Uploading Simple with Intuitive GUI Scripting
July 31, 2009 MASON, OH - Quadrate, an SAP
software partner that was first-to-market with data uploading
solutions for the business community using Excel and Access, has
updated its ERP² platform to include a GUI scripting option to its
already highly intuitive mass data uploading capability. This
technology allows SAP users to automate the process of uploading
massive amounts of data in a simple process unavailable with any
other solution(s) on the market in its price range.
Offerings available with this new GUI Scripting language are
Batch Data Communication (BDC), Remote Function Calls (RFC), and
Business Application Program Interfaces (BAPI). Batch Data
Communication (BDC) is a recording mechanism that allows you to
create a template for uploading data by simply going through the
required transaction in a recording mode. RFC and BAPI templates
can be used to hook into pre-existing functionality, which has been
designed by SAP or your in-house ABAP team. GUI Scripting is the
newest of the three technologies and works along a similar
procedure as BDC templates. The user creates the template by
walking through the transaction as they would if they were entering
the data manually. The advantage of GUI scripting is that it offers
greater compatibility with the newer and more complex transactions
that are being introduced into SAP.
Professionals can upload data from Excel® or Access® using any
of the three uploading methods. Once the data has been entered or
copied into the Excel or Access file, the user can immediately
transfer all the data safely and securely to any of the SAP
system(s) at a click of a button.
By integrating a user-friendly GUI scripting interface, users
can upload even the most difficult of transactions with peace of
mind that data integrity will remain intact while saving valuable
time and resources because the GUI Scripting feature has been
created with the quality standards Quadrate customers have come to
expect.
This combination of GUI scripting and the already-powerful,
advanced features of ERP², gives unparalleled flexibility in data
load automation. When employing the easy-to-use options within
ERP², users will save time and headaches inherent in manual methods
such as keying in large amounts of data and repetitious data entry.
It's no longer necessary to be bogged down with complicated,
time-consuming processes.
GUI Scripting Language along with BDC, RFC, and BAPI are just a
few examples of how Quadrate continues to offer best-in-class data
management solutions for clients worldwide. Quadrate will continue
introducing new features for the ERP² Data Workbench. Increasing
efficiency for business through new offerings and tools is a top
priority for the company.
